10"+ Hand Carved African Wood Mask w/Color Beading
10"+ Hand Carved African Wood Mask w/Color Beading This is a neat hand carved mask. We have been told it is African but not sure. It is more of a wall hanging to me because it does not have eye holes like something that would be worn. It is really nice and detailed. It stands about 10-1/4" tall by 4-1/2" wide. It has the image of a person from chest area up with a large hat or head dress. The face is wearing a mask with lots of colorful small beads like green, red, blue, black and white. There are three triangles above the eyes, the two outer ones are gold. It had been hanging on our wall when an explosion occurred in our neighborhood and it fell off the wall. So right at the nose where the beads are there is minor damage, see photos of this area. The back has a square hole for hanging.
