This is an offering that consists of 16 pieces of sterling silver flatware, some are definitely antique. Each piece is signed “Sterling.” Description follows:
1 Jelly Spoon that is 6.5 inches long. It has a nice full bowl 2.5 inches by 2 inches; there is some slight wear consistent with age. It is signed: Sterling, Towle, Pat. 1935 and has Royal Windsor and a crown inscribed on the back of the stem. The front displays a floral pattern.
1 Teaspoon 5.5 inches long. It has a floral design on the front, the back is plain. This piece is signed Sterling Wolfenden. It has a tiny bit of tarnish.
1 Fork 6.25 inches long. It has the same floral pattern on the front as the teaspoon above. This piece is signed Sterling Wolfenden. There is slight wear which is consistent with age.
1 Condiment Olive Spoon 6 inches long. It has a floral design; it is signed Sterling, Pat. 1935 and has Royal Windsor and a crown inscribed on the back similar to the jelly spoon. There is no visible wear or tarnish.
1 Condiment Spoon 5 inches long. It is plain. On the back, Raimond Sterling is inscribed. This was used as a mustard spoon in our house.
One 6 inch (3 tined) fork. It has ornate designs on front and back. On the back: Sterling Pat.74 and the initials O M are inscribed. It also has hallmarks, a lion, an anchor and an initial. This was used as a fish fork by our family. It is in good shape with some slight tarnish consistent with age.
6 Salt Spoons that are each 2.5 inches long. On the back: Alvin Sterling is inscribed. There is a small bit of tarnish but these salt spoons show little wear.
1 Fork 5 inches long. It has ornate designs on the front and back. The initials H H appear on the front. On the back, Sterling Pat. Oct. 94 is inscribed. It also has hallmarks, W and a tiny figure. This we used as a condiment fork. It has no visible wear.
1 Condiment Fork 5 inches long. It is plain and has flared tines. On the back: Sterling and the letter W are inscribed. It has no visible wear.
1 Condiment fork 4.5 inches long. It has scroll designs on front and back. On the back: Patented 1895, Sterling is inscribed. It also has hallmarks, a lion, an anchor and an initial (or an impression). It has the flared tines and shows no visible wear or tarnish.
1 Nut Spoon. It is 4.5 inches long. It has a wide bowl 2 by 2 inches. It has ornate scrolls and is marked Sterling. This piece is in excellent condition and shows no visible wear or tarnish.
The approximate weight of all these items is 200 grams.
