*****************************GENERAL INFO *************************************
Most specialty wood frames ( meaning not gilt frames w/ wood bodies is what I'm mentioning about
Most frames of the 19th cent. and a little of the 20th cent. have silver gilt liners
The reason it looks goldish , is the varnish or shellac turns color with old age
When you look at a gilt liner and it has spots on it - that is oxidation - air getting to the silver leaf that tarnish's
********************************
The TOTAL size is the outside measurement of the frame
The RABBIT size is the measurement were the art work or glass fits
The SIGHT size is the inside measurement of the frame
