This auction is for a lovely antique Victorian era cotton velvet ribbon fragment in a beautiful shade of intense royal purple.  It has a cotton linen-like underside and possibly may have some silk in its fibers (all fibers are natural).  The flower motif is a deeper purple and very slightly raised from the velvet ground to give it some dimension and contrast.  This is my last piece and it is in very good condition, however, there is one small area at the 6.5" mark from end where it has a bit of minor discoloration (sort of like white chalk or dust).  I don't know what it is, but it really does not detract from the beauty of the textile.  This is shown in photo .  This measures approximately 23" x 2 5/8".   S&H is $2.25
