ART DECO CARNIVAL FIGURINE DH CHIPARUS STATUE SCULPTURE ART DECO CARNIVAL FIGURE AFTER CHIPARUS Demetre H. Chiparus (1886-1947) This graceful figure is exquisitely hand painted. Dimetre Chiparus was originally born in Rumania and exhibited his works in high class galleries in Paris. His sculptures were based on the ballet and the theatre. His statues were always exquisitely detailed. A beautifully hand crafted piece cast in designer resin. this carnival figure stands with her arms held out displaying the unique qualities, and design of her exotic costume. From the beaded details of her headdress, and dress trim to the intricacy of her under gown visible from under her wasp-like skirt, she is thoughtfully crafted and hand finished accentuating the details and design features.
