This rare 19th century Victorian Couple stand an impressive 12.0" tall each! They're decorated in lovely pastel shades of baby blue, cotton candy pink, pristine white & a bit of butter yellow, and highlighted with not only shiny gold leaf design, but also embellished with miniature raised relief enameled gold gilt & porcelain beads. It appears that the young lady is out taking a leisurely stroll in the country with her umbrella in one hand & her pet bunny rabbit in the other, whom can be seen peeking out of the side of her basket, while along comes a young gentleman enticing the rabbit with a carrot, lol. :D The handpainting & detail truly is marvelous, and is a fine example of traditional wear, as they both appear so lifelife, as well as the superbly rendered bunny rabbit. Furthermore, they're both in excellent vintage condition, with only part of the handle on the basket missing, an unnoticeable ding on the very end of the girl's skirt, and an equally unnoticeable one on the rim of the young man's hat & the rim of his base; also, they have one or two of the usual minor manufacturing cracks in the crevices, which is being nitpicky, but mentioned for accuracy; heads, hands, arms, legs, necks, gold decoration, bunny, basket, umbrella, clothing, coloring, et al, perfect! They would make a gorgeous addition to your exquisite doll collection, or else a fabulous gift for that Antique Bisque Doll Fan!
