~ Gorgeous, Large, Ultima Thule Crystal Centerpiece Bowl ~Beautiful 3 footed, crystal centerpiece bowl. A Tapio Wirkkala Design, c. 1960's made in Finland for Iittala Crystal and no longer in production. The design features a clean, fluid motif in water clear, light catching crystal. The textured sides resemble the northern, icy terrain of Scandinavia.  Water drop patterns cover the bottom, like melting ice. This piece was created by a labor intensive technique of molten glass burning and formed on the surface of wooden molds. The design is timeless and sophisticated enough for formal occasions. Simple, yet elegant, this piece will compliment any retro or modern decorating style. Extreme sparkle - truly a  Fire and Ice Beauty!Dimensions:  14  3/4" in diameter and 3" tall.
