It is carved from a single piece of genuine ivory tusk (guaranteed, grain is clearly visible) It is a BEAUTIFUL depiction of a Japanese Immortal, standing on a rock formation with 2 Oni (Demons), one on his head and the other by his side. The carving’s quality is very good with delicate scrimshaw enhancements on their robes and faces. Condition is EXCELLENT with no losses or damages of any sort - beautiful grain and patina. It is artist SIGNED on the bottom. It measures 10 1/2" tall x 3" wide. THIS LOVELY, BEAUTIFULLY EXECUTED CARVING WOULD ADD TO ANY COLLECTION AND WILL KEEP AND GROW IN VALUE WITH TIME.
