This is an original SIGNED & NUMBERED MILLER Antique Art Deco circa 1920’s Slag Glass Panel Table Lamp.
It is a fine MILLER lamp with 6 antique caramel, white and green slag glass panels in an Art Deco Ornate Framework.
There are some very minor hairlines on the outside of two of the old panels, which do not go through to the inside and do not affect the beauty of the lamp. This is photographed for your viewing.
The slag glass panels emit a fire-like glow.
The underside of the base is signed: “ML CO” (Miller Lamp Company) and numbered: “236”.
The base and shade have ornate Art Deco designs of flowers, lines, circles and semi-circles and the lamp is topped by an Art Deco removable crown, combining “Artistic Design” and “Sound Construction” as described in the 1920 Miller Advertisement.
The lamp is approximately 21 ½ inches high. The shade is approximately 16 ¾ inches wide.
The lamp works but the old wiring should be replaced for safety reasons. The pull chain is missing but is easy to replace.
Besides this, the lamp appears to be in good condition with no cracks. The lamp has an old, beautiful bronze original patina.
This elegant, ornate, SIGNED and NUMBERED MILLER Art Deco slag glass lamp would make a welcomed addition for a collection/display/use! |
