This is really a top quality bookcase which comprises of a pair of glazed doors with oak panneling in a geometrical design which is typical of the Louis XIII period. The Bookcase has 2 impressive turned columns on each side.The top of the Bookcase has an extremely well carved cornice. At the base of the Bookcase, there is a large drawer, again with geometrical designs carvings. The colour of the Bookcase is a rich golden oak and has its original patina.I must stress this is one of the best Bookcases I have seen for a long time. They are becoming a very rare item, especially in superb condition. This Bookcase has been really lovingly looked after hence the reason that it is such in excellent condition. The photos really give a good indication of the detail of this fabulous bookcase. This sort of bookcase will only gain in value as opposed to reproduction. The Bookcase is in excellent condition.
