This is a superb quality lacquered brass and black enamelled instrument in virtually mint condition - there are three extremely light scratches (near the right-hand slide holder clip) which are only on the very surface of the black enamel and barely visible. The body of the instrument is marked "W.Watson & Sons Ltd. London. 20301" and, of course, it is in full working order. The vernier scales are silvered. The faux crocodile (?) brown leather case has a black velvet lining to the inside of the lid and to the base. The inside of the lid has the Watson's Lion emblem and the address "313 High Holborn, London, W.C." in gold.W.Watson & Sons Ltd are known to have operated from this address from 1908 to 1957.The case is completely undamaged inside and out and has its original hinges and catch. The case is 6.5in (16.5cm) wide and 6.1in (15.5) deep. It stands 2.1in (6.5cm) high.
